Dhurandhar Actor Sara Arjun Reveals Parents Were in Tears After Watching the Film
The young actor calls it her most “euphoric” moment, sharing how her parents reacted emotionally to her performance in Dhurandha.
After Dhurandhar hit theatres last month, the film received widespread praise for its performances. While Akshaye Khanna impressed audiences as Rehman Dakait and Ranveer Singh stunned fans with his transformation as undercover agent Hamza, it was Sara Arjun who quietly won hearts with her portrayal of Yalina Jamali. Viewers praised her sharp dialogue delivery and her chemistry with Ranveer Singh.
Now, Sara has opened up about a deeply emotional moment she experienced after the film’s release—her parents’ reaction to watching Dhurandhar.
Ahead of the release of her upcoming film Euphoria, which is set to hit theatres on February 6, Sara has been busy promoting the project. During a recent interview with Suma Kanakala, she was asked about the most “euphoric” day of her life.
Responding to the question, Sara shared, “There was a day when both my parents were crying tears of joy because of something I did. So that’s my most euphoric day ever. It meant a lot to me.” She added, “Yeah, tears of joy. It really meant a lot to me, that day.”
When the interviewer asked if she was referring to Dhurandhar, Sara smiled and confirmed it, revealing how meaningful the moment was for her and her family.
Sara Arjun on her journey in films
Speaking about her career path, Sara reflected on how her plans evolved over time. “After Ponniyin Selvan, I went to boarding school, and my initial plan was to go abroad to study film and acting,” she said. “But while I was giving my boards, I signed Magic. After that, I wanted to stick to my original plan.”
She added that Euphoria changed everything. “When Euphoria came to me, it was so tempting. As a human, I felt this urge to be part of a story like this.” Sara revealed that her filmography unfolded organically: “After PS2, it was Magic, then Euphoria, and then Dhurandhar. In fact, I signed Dhurandhar while shooting for Euphoria.”
With strong performances behind her and Euphoria up next, Sara Arjun continues to emerge as one of the most promising young actors in the industry.
