Sara, Ibrahim Visit Hospital To Meet Saif Ali Khan After Stabbing Incident

January 16, 2025: In a heart-wrenching turn of events, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured in a scuffle with an intruder at his Bandra residence late Wednesday night.

Saif was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, where he is currently undergoing treatment after sustaining multiple injuries during the altercation. His children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, were seen arriving at the hospital to be by their father’s side. Filmmaker Siddharth Anand, who has worked with Saif in films like Salaam Namaste (2005) and Ta Ra Rum Pum (2007), also visited the hospital with his wife, Mamta Bhatia-Anand. Anand is also producing Saif’s upcoming project, Jewel Thief – The Red Sun Chapter, in which Saif stars alongside Jaideep Ahlawat.

The incident unfolded at the Satguru Sharan building in Bandra when an intruder reportedly confronted Saif’s maid. Saif intervened to defuse the situation, but the confrontation quickly escalated into a physical altercation. Saif was injured during the scuffle and was taken to the hospital for treatment. His PR team confirmed that it was an attempted burglary and urged patience from the media and fans, as the matter is under investigation by the Mumbai Police.

According to Lilavati Hospital, Saif suffered six stab wounds, two of which were deep, including one near his spine. A foreign object was also discovered near his spine. Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, stated that Saif was brought in at 3 AM on Thursday and is undergoing surgery. The full extent of the injuries will be known once the surgery is completed, and a team of specialists, including neurosurgeons, plastic surgeons, and radiologists, are attending to him.

On the security concerns following the attack, Ashoke Pandit, President of the Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA), condemned the attack and expressed concern over how an intruder was able to reach Saif’s 12th-floor residence. He stressed the need for better security measures in the building and expressed confidence that the Mumbai Police Crime Branch would thoroughly investigate the matter. Dixit Gedam, Deputy Commissioner of Police, confirmed that Saif was injured during the altercation, and authorities are actively looking into the details of the incident.

Saif Ali Khan’s recent film, Devara Part 1, was a high-octane action thriller released in September 2024, where he shared the screen with Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. As Saif continues to recover, fans and industry colleagues alike are hoping for his speedy recovery.
