“Sarfarosh 2 banni chaiye”: Aamir Khan shares big update on film’s sequel

During the 25th-anniversary celebration and special screening of ‘Sarfarosh’ at PVR Juhu in Mumbai, actor Aamir Khan excited fans with news about a potential sequel to the iconic film. The event was a gathering of stars including Sonali Bendre, Naseeruddin Shah, Mukesh Rishi, and others, commemorating the film’s significant milestone.

Aamir Khan, reflecting on the enduring legacy of ‘Sarfarosh’, expressed his desire for a sequel. He revealed ongoing discussions with the film’s director, John Mathew Mathan, about continuing the story. “Sarfarosh 2 banni chaiye (Sarfarosh 2 should be made) even I feel that. On the mode we left the film, there was a thought in our mind that we could make part 2. Even now I keep telling John to write a good story that we can make Sarfarosh 2. And this time he said that he will give it a shot,” Aamir stated.

The original film, directed by John Mathew Mathan, features Aamir as ACP Ajay Singh Rathod, a police officer determined to combat crime after personal tragedies linked to terrorism. The film is also well-loved for its music by Jatin-Lalit, including memorable songs like Jagjit Singh’s ‘Hosh Walon Ko Khabar Kya’ and ‘Zindagi Maut Na Ban Jaye’.
