April 2,2025: Satish Salian, the father of the late celebrity manager Disha Salian, appeared at the Bombay High Court for the first hearing of his writ petition against Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray and others, alleging their involvement in the death of his daughter. Salian, accompanied by his lawyer Nilesh C Ojha, expressed his hope for justice during the hearing.

Satish Salian reaffirmed his faith in both the judiciary and his belief in God. He further emphasized his resolve to see the case through to its conclusion, calling for a Narco Test on the accused, including Aaditya Thackeray, Sooraj Pancholi, and Dino Morea. Salian has been vocal about his frustration over the lack of progress in his daughter’s case, particularly during the tenure of the previous Maharashtra government (MVA), claiming that the investigation had stalled during that period.

Salian’s plea also extended to seeking protection for himself and his counsel, stressing his determination to ensure justice for his late daughter. He stated, “I have complete faith in the judiciary… My daughter could only do half her work; I have to finish it by bringing justice to the accused.”

The death of Disha Salian on June 8, 2020, just days before actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead, remains a controversial and heavily debated issue. Satish Salian previously approached the Bombay High Court to seek a fresh investigation into his daughter’s death and to request the registration of an FIR against those allegedly involved, including Aaditya Thackeray.

In response to the accusations, Uddhav Thackeray, leader of Shiv Sena (UBT) and father of Aaditya Thackeray, denied any involvement of his family in the case. Thackeray dismissed the allegations, stating that if any evidence existed, it should be presented in court. He also pointed out that his family has served the people for generations and had no connection to the Disha Salian case. Thackeray also referenced other investigations, including the unsolved murder of Beed sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh, as further evidence that the investigation into Salian’s death should be approached thoroughly.

Satish Salian has pledged to pursue the case to its rightful conclusion, insisting that the truth about his daughter’s death must be revealed. Despite the challenges, he remains resolute in his belief that justice will ultimately prevail.
