Sean Combs Trial Verdict: Jurors Reach Decision on Four Charges, Deadlocked on Racketeering

The Sean Combs trial verdict remains incomplete as jurors agree on four counts but struggle to reach consensus on the racketeering charge tied to the alleged sex trafficking conspiracy.

After roughly 12 hours of deliberations, the jury in the high-profile federal case has reached a partial Sean Combs trial verdict, delivering unanimous decisions on four of the five charges levied against the music mogul — including sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. However, jurors remain deadlocked on the first and most serious charge: racketeering.

The court has not yet read the partial verdict publicly, and both sides have requested that deliberations continue. Prosecutors are urging the judge to issue an Allen charge — a formal instruction encouraging jurors to re-examine their views and strive for unanimity.

Combs’ defense attorneys objected, asking Judge Arun Subramanian to allow the jury to continue deliberating without additional pressure or special instructions.

Inside the Charges: Racketeering and Sex Trafficking Allegations

Federal prosecutors have accused Sean “Diddy” Combs of orchestrating a wide-ranging criminal operation involving coercion, sexual exploitation, and abuse. The case stems from a September 2024 indictment filed in the Southern District of New York, alleging that Combs used his entertainment and business empire to operate a racketeering conspiracy.

According to the indictment, Combs forced or coerced women, including ex-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura and a woman identified in court only as “Jane,” into performing elaborate sex acts — including orchestrated events dubbed “Freak Offs” and “Hotel Nights” involving male sex workers.

The Trial: 34 Witnesses and Explosive Testimony

The trial began in May 2025 and spanned 29 days, during which prosecutors called 34 witnesses. Among the most impactful was Cassie Ventura, who took the stand while 8½ months pregnant and gave multiple days of graphic testimony detailing alleged abuse and coerced sexual acts.

Her account was one of the key pillars of the prosecution’s case, providing firsthand descriptions of the alleged rituals and power dynamics Combs enforced during their relationship.

The defense countered by arguing that the sexual encounters were consensual, not criminal. Combs’ legal team presented text messages and other digital evidence to support their case, insisting that no coercion took place and characterizing the charges as exaggerated or retaliatory.

Throughout the trial, Combs — now appearing with graying hair — remained behind bars, having been in custody in the months leading up to what has become one of the most watched celebrity trials in recent years.

Legal Fallout: More Than a Year of Allegations

The Sean Combs trial verdict comes on the heels of mounting legal troubles for the music icon. His downfall began in November 2023, when Cassie Ventura filed a civil lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault. That case was settled within 24 hours, but it opened the floodgates.

In the months that followed, dozens of additional accusers came forward with their own allegations, many of which mirrored Ventura’s claims and ultimately contributed to the racketeering and sex trafficking charges brought in federal court.

What’s Next?

As of now, the jury remains in deliberation on the racketeering charge, and Judge Subramanian has not yet decided whether to issue the Allen charge requested by the prosecution. The courtroom awaits a final decision — one that could determine whether Combs is convicted of orchestrating a criminal enterprise.

Until the complete Sean Combs trial verdict is read in open court, the outcome of this landmark case remains unresolved.
