Sean 'Diddy' Combs Sued By Kirk Burrowes For Sexual Assault, Violence And Intimidation
March 2, 2025: Kirk Burrowes, the co-founder and former president of Bad Boy Entertainment, has filed a lawsuit against his former business partner, rapper and music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, accusing him of a "deeply disturbing pattern" of sexual assault, violence, and intimidation spanning over a decade. Burrowes’ legal team, led by attorney Tyrone Blackburn, has filed an 18-page complaint in New York, outlining a series of "predatory" actions that Burrowes claims Combs subjected him to during their years of working together.
The lawsuit alleges that Combs created a "toxic environment" marked by "coercion, fear, and psychological manipulation." Burrowes accuses Combs of repeated sexual harassment, physical aggression, and forcing him into degrading sexual acts. These acts, the lawsuit claims, occurred during business meetings that Burrowes had initially believed to be professional in nature. The complaint outlines unwanted sexual advances, including nudity, sexual overtones, voyeurism, and acts of exhibitionism.
According to the legal documents, Burrowes was subjected to a campaign of control by Combs that included blackmail, career sabotage, and financial extortion. One of the key points in the lawsuit is that Combs allegedly coerced Burrowes into giving up a 25% stake in Bad Boy Entertainment. The suit claims that this was done through physical violence and other forms of pressure, ultimately leading to Burrowes’ loss of control over the company.
This lawsuit is not Burrowes' first legal challenge against Combs. In 2003, he filed a suit regarding a 1996 incident, but that case was dismissed. Burrowes’ new legal action also targets Combs’ mother, Janice Combs, accusing her of unlawfully taking control of his 25% stake in the company. Burrowes alleges that Janice Combs played a key role in the fraudulent scheme to take full control of Bad Boy Entertainment, all while maintaining a public image of innocence.
In response to the allegations, Combs' legal team dismissed the claims as frivolous and part of a long history of re-litigated lawsuits. "Despite repeated dismissals, Burrowes and Blackburn are intent on wasting the court's time and resources," they stated, referring to the 30 years of past claims that have been thrown out of court.
The new lawsuit cites New York City’s Gender Motivated Violence Act, adding another layer to the legal challenges surrounding Combs. This marks the latest in a series of accusations of sexual misconduct against the musician, who has denied all such allegations. Burrowes is seeking a jury trial and redress for the emotional, physical, and financial damage he claims to have suffered at the hands of Combs.
The case continues to develop, with Burrowes demanding justice for the alleged abuse he endured over years of working closely with Combs in the high-powered music industry.
