Speaking as the star of Only Murders in the Building, Gomez opened up about her discomfort with her sleeping environment, saying, “I spent too much time in my bedroom that I actually don’t even sleep in my bedroom anymore,” attributing this to the dark times she associates with it.

The 32-year-old artist reflected on her struggles with anxiety, revealing how debilitating it has been, often preventing her from getting out of bed for years. She emphasized the importance of believing in oneself and actively engaging in personal growth to overcome these challenges.

Gomez recounted a particularly restless night leading up to the summit, explaining that her mind was racing. “As recent as last night, I was in bed and I couldn’t fall asleep ’til about four,” she shared, stating she tried to reassure herself that the anxiety would pass.

Having previously discussed her battles with anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder, Gomez highlighted the value of confiding in trusted individuals. She expressed gratitude for her mother, Mandy Teefey, who co-founded Wondermind with her. “I still have days where I need my mom, like, my mommy,” she admitted, noting the importance of allowing oneself to be vulnerable and talk through emotions.

Gomez spoke about the liberation she found in sharing her mental health journey, stating, “I tended to isolate… but I found complete freedom in sharing everything I’ve been walking through because I know that other people feel that way too.” She concluded her talk by stressing the significance of acknowledging mental health struggles, urging people not to assume that her life is perfect. “We’re all humans, and feelings are very real,” Gomez said. “I think it definitely needs to be talked about, and we need to educate people more about it.”
