Selena, who is 33 years old, didn’t say much about the wedding, but she did drop hints about her unusual dessert choices in a video shared by her beauty brand, Rare Beauty, on Instagram. The film, which was called “When the day comes, it’s a reminder to make every moment yours,” gave fans a look into her particular likes.

Selena starts the video by thinking of ideas for the wedding cuisine and saying, “I do know I don’t want a big cake.” Selena doesn’t want a big, multi-tiered cake. Instead, she wants a smaller dessert that she and 37-year-old Benny can share and freeze.

But the biggest surprise was what she chose for dessert. Selena said that her “favorite dessert would be biscuits and gravy,” not the usual wedding sweets. She went on to say, “My Nana’s biscuits and gravy,” with a hint of nostalgia. That sounds like a sweet treat to me.

The “Daily Mail” said that the couple is likely to get married in California this September in a ceremony with a lot of stars but also a lot of privacy. It is stated that only close friends and family will be invited to the wedding. High-profile visitors, such as Selena’s close friend Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce, have already received invitations.

Benny and Selena started dating in June 2023, but only in December of that year did most people find out about it. Selena’s songs “Kill ‘Em with Kindness” (2015) and “Trust Nobody” (2017), as well as Benny’s music video for “I Can’t Get Enough,” were all made before they started dating. They got engaged in December 2024 after a whirlwind affair. Benny previously said that their wedding would be a “chill” but “amazing” event. This is obvious from Selena’s unusual menu choices.
