March 13, 2025: Actor Seth Green, known for his roles in Radio Days and Family Guy, has been cast in a new role for the upcoming seventh and final season of ABC’s The Conners, reported Deadline.
Green will play Chad, a new friend of Darlene Conner (Sara Gilbert), who is navigating a separation from his wife. Over the course of a three-episode arc, Chad and Darlene bond over their shared sense of humor, providing some much-needed support for each other. Their connection takes an unexpected turn as they grow closer, confiding in one another in a way that promises to add a new layer of dynamics to the family sitcom.

The final season of The Conners will kick off with a six-episode run, with the first episode scheduled for Wednesday, March 26, on ABC. Alongside Gilbert, the series stars John Goodman as Dan Conner, Laurie Metcalf as Jackie Harris, Lecy Goranson as Becky Conner-Healy, and Emma Kenney as Harris Conner-Healy.
The show, a continuation of Roseanne, follows the Conner family as they face challenges like parenthood, marriage, financial struggles, and the everyday pressures of working-class life. Despite the challenges, love and humor ultimately prevail, allowing the family to come together.
In addition to his role in The Conners, Green is preparing for his role in The High Stakes, a thriller directed by Steven Paul, which will be distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution next year.
Green’s career spans both film and television, with notable roles in the Austin Powers trilogy, Can’t Hardly Wait, Rat Race, and Old Dogs. He’s also well-known for his TV work, including appearances in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dads, Broad City, Grey’s Anatomy, and That ’70s Show.
The Conners will be closing out its run with a mix of humor, heart, and the familiar antics of the beloved Conner family.
