Sitaare Zameen Par introduces ten fresh faces—Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. The film is a Hindi adaptation of the Spanish sports comedy Campeones and features Aamir Khan as a basketball coach mentoring a team of specially-abled players.

Also starring Genelia D’Souza, the film is touted as a spiritual successor to Taare Zameen Par and is directed by RS Prasanna.
