After a viral preview left fans debating his cameo, SRK ended the speculation with a witty tweet, confirming his appearance in the highly anticipated Netflix series.

August 21, 2025: The internet has been buzzing since yesterday, when the viral preview of Aryan Khan’s first movie as a director, The Ba*ds of Bollywood, came out.

The teaser, which showed off the show’s dark humor and star-studded cast, also left a lot of viewers confused by a shadowy figure that only appeared for a second.

There was a lot of debate online about whether the man with the earring and clean-shaven face was superstar Shah Rukh Khan or Ranbir Kapoor. Fans on social media spoke about the figure, with some suggesting it was SRK because of how he stood and looked, and others thinking it was Ranbir because of how he looked in his last movie.

The mystery is eventually solved. During a “Ask SRK” session on X (formerly Twitter), a fan asked him directly if he would be on his son’s show. Shah Rukh put an end to all the suspicions with a simple and reassuring answer: “Many wonderful friends from the industry have been in Aryan’s series…” Main toh hun hi haq se! Even once the mystery is solved, the series has a lot of star power. The trailer said that Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, and Karan Johar will all show up as themselves. The show boasts a wonderful cast, with Bobby Deol, Lakshya, and Sahher Bambba as the main protagonists.

The preview shows us a fast-paced show set in the wild, self-aware world of Bollywood, where an outsider tries to become famous. The Ba*ds of Bollywood was made by Red Chillies Entertainment. It will be on Netflix starting September 18.
