Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan Celebrate Aamir Khan’s 60th Birthday At His Residence

Date:

March 13, 2025: On the eve of Aamir Khan’s 60th birthday, his Mumbai residence saw a special gathering of friends and colleagues, with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan making their way to celebrate the occasion with him.

Shah Rukh, known for his preference for privacy, was seen hiding behind his security to avoid paparazzi attention, while Salman was spotted exiting Aamir’s home, sharing a moment of camaraderie with his long-time friend.

Producer Rajkumar Santoshi was also seen at Aamir’s house, joining in to extend his birthday wishes to the star of films like Fanaa and Lagaan. As part of the birthday festivities, Aamir also planned to spend some time with members of the media, further adding to the celebratory atmosphere.

During a recent media event, Aamir reflected on some of the iconic films that he had been approached for but turned down. Among the notable ones was Darr, the 1993 thriller directed by Yash Chopra. Aamir explained that his decision not to take on the role had nothing to do with creative differences but rather personal reasons. “Darr jo mein kar raha tha, phir meine nahi kiya… That was for other reasons, not for creative reasons. And even now I feel woh sahi hi hua because jo sur Yash ji pakad rahe the, woh Shah Rukh was suiting better,” Aamir shared. In hindsight, he felt that the role was more fitting for Shah Rukh, which ultimately led to the iconic performance by him in the film.

Aamir also talked about his involvement with Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The script, written by K. Vijayendra Prasad, was initially presented to Aamir. However, he felt that the role would suit Salman Khan better. “I heard the script and told the writer that it would suit Salman Khan better. That was my reaction,” Aamir explained. Though the writer didn’t approach Salman directly at first, the script eventually found its way to Kabir Khan, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Additionally, Aamir reflected on Munna Bhai MBBS and how he was initially considered for a role in the film. “The day [Raju Hirani] came to me with the script, he said that things have changed and the film is more of a sequel to the first part,” Aamir recalled.

Looking ahead, Aamir will soon be seen starring in Sitaare Zameen Par, further fueling excitement for his upcoming projects. The birthday celebration was a warm reminder of Aamir’s storied career, filled with memorable moments and close-knit friendships in the industry.
