SRK likely to appear in extended cameo alongside Rajinikanth in Nelson Dilipkumar’s sequel
March 10, 2026: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly set to appear in the upcoming action entertainer Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth. According to industry sources, the actor will be seen playing the role of a cop in the much-awaited sequel. His appearance is expected to be an extended cameo, with filming for his portions likely to take place over seven to eight days before the project wraps up.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the sequel has generated massive anticipation among fans after the blockbuster success of Jailer, which reportedly collected around ₹650 crore worldwide. The first film opened to positive reviews and achieved a strong box-office start, with overseas distributor Ayngaran International reporting a ₹33 crore opening day collection, the highest in Rajinikanth’s career.
The film features a strong ensemble cast including Ramya Krishnan, who reprises her role as Vijaya Pandian, along with actors Mohanlal and Vijay Sethupathi. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film’s music will once again be composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Shooting began in Chennai last year and the sequel is expected to deliver the same action-packed entertainment that made the original a huge hit.
