Filmmaker Farah Khan revealed the superstar is dedicatedly prepping his daughter Suhana Khan for her demanding, action-heavy role in their upcoming film King.
December 10, 2025: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is not just sharing screen space with his daughter, Suhana Khan, in the upcoming action thriller King; he has transformed the set into a personal training academy to prepare her for her action-packed role.
This revelation came from filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan during a public event in Dubai on Tuesday, where Shah Rukh was present for the announcement of a new commercial tower project named after him.
During a candid moment on stage, Farah Khan praised the hard work of the Khan children, revealing the extent of Shah Rukh’s involvement in Suhana’s preparation for her second film project.
“Shah Rukh’s son Aryan has made the most kick-a** web series: The Ba***ds of Bollywood. Suhana is so hardworking. She is now going to be in King. I know that you are training her in action,” Farah told Shah Rukh, who was seated beside her, smiling and nodding in agreement.
Suhana, who made her debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies (2023), is set for a high-octane role in King, where she reportedly plays a protégé to Shah Rukh Khan’s character.
King, which released its first look teaser on Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday, promises intense action sequences and a completely new, menacing persona for the superstar, who sports a salt-and-pepper look.
Shah Rukh Khan described his character at a fan meet-and-greet event, revealing the grey shades of the role:
“King ka jo character hai, bohot hi interesting hai. Siddharth aur Sujoy (Ghosh) ne bohot prem se likha hai. Aur usme bohot saari buraaiyaan hain. Khooni hai, logo ko maar deta hai aur poochta bhi nahi (The character in King is very interesting. Siddharth and Sujoy wrote it with a lot of love. He comes with a lot of vices. He is a murderer. He kills people and doesn’t even ask).”
Directed by Siddharth Anand, who helmed Shah Rukh’s blockbuster Pathaan and Fighter, King features a stellar ensemble cast including Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan (as the main antagonist), Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, and Rani Mukerji. The film is being produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures and is scheduled for a 2026 release.
