The actor’s replies on social media gave fans a glimpse into his personal equations with his colleagues and even offered a tantalizing hint about his future projects.

The Film Tease and Fitness Joke

Shah Rukh Khan’s response to veteran actor Anupam Kher’s video message has ignited excitement among fans of their iconic on-screen pairing:

Shah Rukh Khan to Anupam Kher: “Thank u @AnupamPKher for the heartfelt video. Big hugs and lots of love to you always. Some of the fondest memories in my journey of films are with you… Love u. (And yes, we must find ways to spend more time… maybe a film would be nice),” he wrote, strongly hinting at a possible collaboration.

He shared a lighthearted banter with action star Akshay Kumar, known for his early morning routines:

Shah Rukh Khan to Akshay Kumar: “Thank u, Akki, for singing Happy Birthday to me… you’ve taught me the secret to looking good and thinking smart. Ab Khiladi ki taraah jaldi uthna bhi sikhaade (Now teach me how to wake up early like a Khiladi). Ha ha,” he joked.

Witty Exchange with Shashi Tharoor

The actor engaged in a particularly witty exchange with politician and author Shashi Tharoor, who had compared Khan’s youthful appearance to the protagonist in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Shah Rukh Khan to Shashi Tharoor: “Thank u… Although I’m sure you will be around to see me playing the ‘child star’… and I will copy your hairstyle then. Ha ha..,” the actor quipped, matching the politician’s humor.

Respect for Legends and Close Friends

Shah Rukh also paid tribute to the legends who wished him well:

Kamal Haasan: Responding to the actor’s comment about him being a “King who never needed a crown,” Shah Rukh replied, “Thank you, sir. A lot of what I’ve learnt, I’ve learnt from you. You are always an inspiration.”

Shatrughan Sinha: He responded to the veteran with a typical line from Sinha’s films: “Shukriya Shatrugan ji… I know you will ask me to be ‘khamosh (quiet)’ if I go overboard… thank you.”

Kajol: The actor promised his longtime co-star he had taken her advice: “Took your advice… didn’t count the candles. In fact, didn’t even put them. Ha ha.. love you too much!”

Mohanlal: He thanked the Malayalam superstar and added, “Still need to catch up one evening, will make it happen soon.”

On the Work Front

Fans will next see Shah Rukh Khan in the high-octane action entertainer King, directed by Siddharth Anand (Pathaan). The film, which was formally announced on his birthday, is slated for a 2026 release and will also star his daughter Suhana Khan in her first major feature role alongside a massive ensemble cast including Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, and Abhishek Bachchan.
