Now Allu Arjun and his team has issued a statement of Social Media addressing the online hate and criticism.
Netizens called out the actor for what they perceived as “celebrating” while the victim’s family continues to suffer. One comment criticized the tone of the gatherings:
“Today should have been a day of introspection, not celebration.”
Another netizen wrote: #AlluArjunArrest yesterday, he returned home today, happiness returns in #AlluArjun ‘s family. But the 7-years old Sanvika knows her mother Revathi will never come back as she died during #SandhyaTheatre #Stampede,
Another user slammed the publicity around the visits, stating:
“Shamelessly celebrating the bail moments but no one cares about the victim’s family. This looks like a PR stunt now.”
Criticism further escalated as many felt the focus had shifted away from the tragedy. A user wrote:
“The entire Tollywood descending to his house seems unnecessary, especially when a child remains critical. This insensitivity is appalling.”
The stampede occurred on December 4 when Allu Arjun made what the police described as an “unscheduled” visit to the theatre screening Pushpa 2. The unexpected crowd surge caused chaos, leading to the death of a woman and leaving her son critically injured. The incident raised concerns about crowd management and the responsibilities of celebrities during public events.
While the actor’s bail has brought him temporary relief, the internet’s reaction underscores the importance of addressing the tragedy with sensitivity and accountability.
