The Amazon MGM Studios film, which had its world premiere at SXSW, reunites Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick in their leading roles. The sequel, set for release on May 1, continues the thrilling story of the two characters, Stephanie (Kendrick) and Emily (Lively), who are entangled in a web of secrets, revenge, and mystery. The plot takes them to coastal Italy for Emily’s wedding to a wealthy businessman, while Stephanie tries to write a book about the events from the first film.

Stone, however, was not officially reported as part of the movie’s cast, but she made a surprising revelation on Instagram. Commenting under an Instagram reel about the film, she claimed that she had been cast for a role, only to be later “uncast” without any explanation.

“I LOVED being cast and removed from my role unexpectedly for no reason at all LOVED it,” Stone wrote, leaving fans curious about the circumstances behind her abrupt departure from the film.

Although Stone’s involvement was never formally announced by the studio, her comment hints at some behind-the-scenes drama. The actress’s post has sparked conversation about casting decisions in Hollywood, with some questioning why she was let go from the project.

Alongside Lively and Kendrick, Another Simple Favor features several actors reprising their roles from the original film, including Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, Ian Ho, and Kelly McCormack.
