Oscar-nominated director Shekhar Kapur, National Award-winning director Jayaraj, and Malayalam megastar Mammootty have all praised actress Sheena Chohan for her professionalism and versatile performances in films.
Sheena, who has received Best Actress nominations at the Dubai and Shanghai Film Festivals, reflected on the praise from Shekhar Kapur. “At the Dubai International Film Festival, where my film ‘Ant Story’ premiered, Shekhar Kapur, the esteemed jury head, congratulated me and expressed his admiration for my work. He has always remembered my performance in ‘Ant Story,’ frequently commending me for it. His continuous words of encouragement have been immensely motivating. He specifically praised ‘Ant Story,’ describing it as a well-made film, and lauded my portrayal of Reema, stating that I performed brilliantly and truly lived the role.”
Sheena was launched opposite Mammootty in the action film “The Train,” directed by seven-time National Award winner Jayaraj. Jayaraj remarked, “Sheena acted with Mammootty in my film ‘The Train.’ Her natural ability to portray Mammootty’s wife was remarkable. Sheena’s commitment and professionalism were admirable. Having directed 45 movies in Malayalam, I can proudly say that working with Sheena was a remarkable experience.”
Superstar Mammootty also praised her dedication and commitment, underscoring her professionalism on set.
After starring in seven feature films, including three with National Award-winning directors, Sheena Chohan is now looking forward to her Hindi debut in “Sant Tukaram,” directed by Aditya Om.
