Shilpa Shetty Dazzles In Zebra-Striped Sari At Lakme Fashion Week
March 28, 2025: Actress Shilpa Shetty made a stunning appearance at Lakme Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI, wearing a striking black and white zebra-striped sari paired with a molded wooden bodice. The elegant look was designed by Mohammed Mazhar for his collection ‘Jila Saharanpur,’ which honors the artisans of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
As Shetty walked the ramp with grace, she showcased Mazhar’s unique blend of fashion and craftsmanship. The collection, a tribute to the artisanal heritage of Saharanpur, featured innovative pieces that combined tradition with modern flair.
Shilpa Shetty took a moment after her rampwalk to praise Mazhar’s effort to empower the artisans through fashion. She described the collection as a bold new definition of “power dressing” and admired the use of wood, which she felt had been transformed into glamorous designs.
The actress also expressed her support for the initiative, noting how Mazhar’s work not only created beautiful fashion but also livelihood opportunities for the artisans of his hometown.
On the professional front, Shilpa was last seen in the web series Indian Police Force, directed by Rohit Shetty, where she starred alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi. She will soon be seen in the upcoming multilingual film KD: The Devil, a period action drama set in 1970s Bangalore, which will release in multiple languages including Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi.
