October 29, 2025: In a stunning development that has sent shockwaves through the television industry, actress Shilpa Shinde is reportedly in advanced talks to return to the iconic comedy show, Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!
Shinde, who originally brought the beloved character of Angoori Bhabhi to life before her controversial exit in 2016, is being approached by the makers to replace the current actress in the role, Shubhangi Atre.

After running successfully for a decade, the channel wants to introduce new elements and characters to refresh Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai.”
The revamp, being dubbed as Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai 2.0, is expected to include significant changes. “A new set is being built, and viewers can expect major changes in the storyline,” the source added. The makers reportedly plan to begin shooting for this new chapter by mid-December.

Shilpa Shinde became a household name with her endearing portrayal of Angoori Bhabhi from the show’s launch in 2015. However, her tenure ended abruptly in March 2016 amid a very public and bitter fallout with the producers.
- Mental Torture & Contract: Shinde quit the show, alleging “mental torture” by the makers. She claimed she was being forced to sign an exclusivity contract that would bar her from participating in other shows.
