A bomb blast reportedly claims ACP Pradyuman’s life in CID’s new season on Netflix; fans brace for emotional farewell to beloved character
April 04, 2025– In a shocking turn of events, fans of the long-running TV series CID may soon have to bid farewell to the most iconic character of the show — ACP Pradyuman, played by Shivaji Satam. According to a report by India Today, the senior officer will reportedly die in a bomb blast plotted by the character Barbosa (played by Tigmanshu Dhulia), in one of the upcoming episodes of CID Season 2 now streaming on Netflix.
The scene was recently shot and is expected to air soon. As per the report, the rest of the CID team survives the blast, but ACP Pradyuman sacrifices his life. The makers are keeping the details under wraps to maintain the emotional shock value for loyal viewers.
CID Season 2 Streaming Schedule
CID Season 2, which made a comeback after six years, began airing new episodes on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV from February 21, 2025, with new episodes dropping every Saturday and Sunday at 10 PM.

Shivaji Satam on His Return

The series had ended in 2018 after a stellar 20-year run, and its return on OTT has received an overwhelming response.
