April 04, 2025– In a shocking turn of events, fans of the long-running TV series CID may soon have to bid farewell to the most iconic character of the show — ACP Pradyuman, played by Shivaji Satam. According to a report by India Today, the senior officer will reportedly die in a bomb blast plotted by the character Barbosa (played by Tigmanshu Dhulia), in one of the upcoming episodes of CID Season 2 now streaming on Netflix.

CID Season 2 Streaming Schedule

CID Season 2, which made a comeback after six years, began airing new episodes on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV from February 21, 2025, with new episodes dropping every Saturday and Sunday at 10 PM.

The series had ended in 2018 after a stellar 20-year run, and its return on OTT has received an overwhelming response.
