June 8, 2025: Actor Shoaib Ibrahim has shared the first post-surgery photo with wife Dipika Kakar, who recently underwent a 14-hour-long surgery for stage 2 liver cancer. The heartfelt moment was captured on Shoaib’s Instagram Stories, where the couple is seen holding envelopes, a gift of Eidi from Shoaib’s father.
In the photo, Dipika is lying in her hospital bed, and Shoaib is seated by her side, holding her hand. Shoaib captioned the picture, “Dipi aur mere liye papa ki taraf se eidi aayee ❤️ Eid Mubarak 🤗.”
Shoaib has been consistently keeping fans updated through Instagram and YouTube about Dipika’s condition. In a recent 7-minute vlog, he shared details about the intense surgery and her recovery process.

“The surgery started in the morning and ended just before midnight. She’ll be in the hospital for three to five days as per doctors’ advice,” he said, adding, “Woh bahut hi mushkil waqt tha (It was a very difficult time).”
Shoaib revealed that doctors had to remove not only the tennis ball-sized tumour from Dipika’s liver but also her gall bladder, due to a detected stone. “Since the tumour was on the liver, a small portion of it had to be removed as well. But there’s no need to worry because the liver can regenerate itself,” he assured.
Dipika had earlier informed her followers that she was diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer, bravely sharing her journey online. Fans and fellow celebrities have flooded the couple’s social media with prayers and support during this challenging time.
