Shocked on Learning Saif Kareena Love Story: Karisma on The Great Indian Kapil Show

October 13, 2024: Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan are undoubtedly one of Hindi cinema’s most successful sister duos, captivating audiences for nearly four decades. The Kapoor family, known for its flair for the extravagant, also shares a deep bond that has withstood the test of time in the industry. Recently, the sisters appeared on Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show, hosted by Kapil Sharma, where they discussed the Kapoor legacy, their close relationship, and the ever-charismatic Saif Ali Khan, who has starred alongside both in various films.

During the show, Karisma recalled the moment Kareena first revealed her relationship with Saif, describing how it left her momentarily shaken. “Kareena asked me to sit down before she could share what she wanted to say. I didn’t get why, but I found a sofa in a London store where I was shopping. Then she said, ‘The thing is that I’m in love with Saif. We are together. We are dating,’ and I just wanted to hold on tighter to that sofa,” Karisma shared, expressing her astonishment over her sister’s news.

“It took me a second to process this. Saif was my buddy and co-star, right?” Karisma added, prompting laughter from the audience. Kapil then asked Kareena whether Saif confessed his feelings first or if she took the initiative. “Knowing me, I would have confessed first. It was important that I told him directly how I felt about us,” Kareena responded with her characteristic flair. “Everyone knows I’m my own favorite, so I had to tell him first before anyone else.”

Karisma Kapoor recently appeared in the Netflix series Murder Mubarak and has been a judge on the reality show India’s Best Dancer. Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor is eagerly awaiting the release of Rohit Shetty’s Singham Returns, where she stars alongside a star-studded cast including Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor.
