The intruder, identified as Jitendra Kumar Singh, reportedly entered the building on May 20 around 7:15 PM, after lingering in the vicinity since morning. Police sources told that Jitendra was first spotted roaming near the actor’s Bandra home at around 9:45 AM. He was confronted by security personnel assigned to Salman Khan and was asked to leave the area.
Apparently angered by the confrontation, Jitendra allegedly smashed his own mobile phone in frustration. Later that evening, he gained entry into Galaxy Apartments by using a car belonging to another resident of the building. Despite this, police managed to intercept and detain him before he could get further.
He was immediately handed over to the Bandra police station, where, during interrogation, he confessed that he was trying to meet the actor. “The police were not letting me meet him, so I was trying to hide,” Jitendra reportedly told authorities.
A resident of Chhattisgarh, Jitendra has been formally arrested, and a case has been registered against him. Further investigation is currently underway. It remains unclear whether Salman Khan was at home during the intrusion.
The incident adds to the ongoing concerns surrounding the superstar’s security, especially given past threats and incidents involving his safety.
