SHOCKING! Sunjay Kapur's Sister Reveals 'Mother Was Locked in a Room' and Forced to Sign Papers
The legal battle over the late businessman Sunjay Kapur’s assets has taken a dramatic turn, with his sister, Mandhira Kapur, making fresh allegations of coercion and forgery against his widow, Priya Sachdev. The claims add to an already complex family feud that now involves Karisma Kapoor’s children.
September 10, 2025: The struggle over the estate of the late businessman Sunjay Kapur has gotten worse, both in court and in the family. The family is deeply divided, as shown by new court papers and charges. After Sunjay’s kids with ex-wife Karisma Kapoor filed a complaint, his sister Mandhira Kapur has now made alarming claims against his widow, Priya Sachdev.
Mandhira told us in an exclusive interview that board members of Sona Comstar and others, including Priya Sachdev, “locked her mother, Rani Surinder Kapur, in a room” and had her sign legal papers. “My mom was grieving. She didn’t know what was going on. I asked her what she had signed, and she answered, “I signed something.” I did as I was told. “I don’t know what I signed,” Mandhira told a news station. She went on to explain that the family hasn’t been able to acquire answers or examine the papers.
These claims make the battle for Sunjay Kapur’s estimated ₹30,000 crore fortune considerably harder. The Delhi High Court is now engaged and has directed Priya Sachdev to make a list of all of Sunjay’s properties, both movable and immovable, as of June 12, 2025, the day he died. The court’s decision was made at a hearing for a lawsuit brought by Karisma Kapoor’s children, Samaira and Kiaan. Priya, their stepmother, is said to have fabricated their father’s will.
Priya Sachdev’s lawyers changed their minds in court and said that the children had gotten assets worth about ₹1,900 crore from the family trust barely five days before the lawsuit was filed. The lawyer remarked in court, “You say you don’t have anything after getting assets worth ₹1,900 crore.”
Rani Kapur, Sunjay’s mother, has also questioned the will’s legitimacy, telling the court that she was completely left out of the bequest. Mandhira argues that the argument isn’t just about money; it’s also about “legacy, truth, and integrity.” On October 9, the next hearing in the Delhi High Court will take place. Priya Sachdev is anticipated to show the list of assets at that time.
