Shraddha Kapoor's Brother Siddhanth Kapoor Summoned By Mumbai Police In ₹252-Crore Drugs Case
Actor-director Siddhanth Kapoor has been summoned by the Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) to record his statement on November 25, after his name surfaced during the interrogation of a key accused linked to a massive ₹252 crore MD drug seizure.
November 22, 2025: The investigation into a sprawling narcotics network connected to a massive mephedrone (MD) seizure has taken another turn, with Bollywood actor and director Siddhanth Kapoor—brother of actress Shraddha Kapoor—being summoned for questioning by the Mumbai Police.
Officials confirmed on Friday that Kapoor has been asked to appear before the ANC’s Ghatkopar unit on Tuesday, November 25, to record his statement in the high-profile case.
The summons to Siddhanth Kapoor comes after his name emerged during the questioning of Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, also known as “Lavish.” Shaikh, a key accused in the ₹252 crore mephedrone seizure case, was recently deported from Dubai and is currently in ANC custody.
Investigators stated that Shaikh, who allegedly has links to the underworld, claimed during his interrogation that he organized lavish rave parties both in India and abroad. These parties were allegedly attended by several high-profile individuals, including film and fashion celebrities, a politician, and even a relative of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim.
Social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, has also been issued a fresh summons by the ANC and is scheduled to appear on Wednesday, November 26. Orry was initially summoned on Thursday, November 20, but failed to appear, with his lawyers requesting more time.
The police have emphasized that the summoning of any individual to record a statement does not imply guilt but is a crucial step in verifying the claims made by the arrested accused and unraveling the full extent of the drug network.
This is not the first time Siddhanth Kapoor has been embroiled in drug-related investigations. In June 2022, he was arrested by Bengaluru Police after testing positive for drugs following a raid on a party where he was serving as the DJ. He was subsequently released on station bail.
The current investigation is complex, focusing on a drug syndicate linked to a large-scale mephedrone manufacturing unit discovered in Maharashtra’s Sangli district in March 2024. Authorities are expected to continue cross-checking all statements to build a comprehensive case.
