Shreya Ghoshal Is ‘Back’ As Her X Account Gets Restored After Being Hacked

April 6, 2025: Playback singer Shreya Ghoshal has made her long-awaited return to X (formerly Twitter) after her account was hacked nearly two months ago. On Sunday, Ghoshal shared a heartfelt video message with her followers, announcing that her account has now been successfully restored.

In her video, Ghoshal expressed her relief and shared the challenges she faced in getting help from the X support team. She revealed that after much effort and struggling to establish proper communication, someone from the India team eventually assisted her in recovering her account. “I am back!! I will be talking and writing here often. Yes, my X account has been in trouble since it was hacked in February. Now, I have finally received help from the @X team after a lot of struggles in establishing proper communication. All is well! Now, I am here,” she said.

However, Shreya also warned her followers about the fake ads and articles circulating online. She explained that several misleading ads featuring AI-generated images and absurd headlines about her were running on the platform. These clickbait ads often lead to fraudulent links and spam. “Also, there are many weird ads running, which are articles about me with very absurd headlines and AI-generated pictures. These are clickbait, which lead to spam/fraudulent links. Please keep reporting these ads. I have no power to remove them. I have tried my best. These are X’s ad regulations, which allow such ads to run. Hope they solve these matters soon,” she urged.

Earlier, on March 1, Shreya had informed her fans on Instagram about her struggles in regaining access to her X account. She had written, “Hello fans and friends. My Twitter/X account has been hacked since February 13th. I have tried everything in my capacity to reach out to the X team, but there has been no response beyond a few auto-generated replies. I am unable to even delete my account since I can’t log in anymore.”

Now that her account is back, Shreya expressed her gratitude for the support of her fans and reassured them that she would be active on X once again.
