Shreya Ghoshal Postpones Mumbai Concert Amid Rising India-Pakistan Tensions

May 09, 2025: In light of the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, renowned playback singer Shreya Ghoshal has postponed her much-anticipated Mumbai concert, which was scheduled for May 10 as part of her ‘All Hearts Tour.’

Taking to Instagram, Shreya addressed her fans with an emotional note: “My dearest fans, With a heavy heart, I want to share that my homecoming concert in Mumbai, part of the All Hearts Tour and scheduled for 10th May 2025 at Jio World Garden, BKC, will be postponed due to the current events unfolding in our beloved country.”

Expressing her solidarity with the nation, she added, “This concert means the world to me, and I was looking forward to sharing a powerful evening with all of you. But as an artist and a citizen, I feel a deep responsibility to stand in solidarity with the nation during this time. I promise that this is not a cancellation, just a postponement.”

Shreya assured her fans that the concert would be rescheduled soon, and all previously purchased tickets will remain valid. BookMyShow, the official ticketing partner, will contact ticket holders with updates and further instructions.

She concluded, “We will reunite soon, stronger and more united than ever. Thank you to each and everyone for your understanding and support in advance. Until then, please stay safe and take care of one another.”

The decision comes in the wake of heightened military activity along the India-Pakistan border. On May 8 and 9, Indian forces successfully repelled multiple drone attacks and ceasefire violations initiated by Pakistan, following India’s precision strikes under ‘Operation Sindoor’ in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

According to defence officials, Pakistan used drones and heavy munitions to target Indian military and civilian infrastructure across the western border and Line of Control (LoC). India’s Akash surface-to-air missile system played a pivotal role in neutralising the aerial threats. Both the Indian Army and Air Force remain on high alert along the border.
