Shreyas Talpade Named In UP Investment Scam FIR

Actor among 13 accused in alleged lakhs fraud case in Mainpuri

February 11, 2026: Actor Shreyas Talpade has been named in an FIR registered in Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri district in connection with an alleged investment scam. According to reports, the case was filed on February 10 at the Bhogaon police station after a resident of Mohalla Mishrana accused the actor and 12 others of cheating him out of lakhs of rupees in the name of an investment scheme. The complaint alleges that villagers were duped under the guise of investing money through a Mumbai bank branch operating in the locality.

Following a court order, police have launched an investigation into the matter. Authorities are examining the allegations and the role of all those named in the FIR. Shreyas Talpade has not yet issued a statement or responded publicly to the accusations.

Shreyas, known for his work in Bollywood and Marathi cinema, made his lead debut with Iqbal in 2005 and has appeared in films such as Dor, Golmaal, and Om Shanti Om. He will next be seen in Welcome to the Jungle, the third installment of the Welcome franchise, directed by Ahmed Khan. The ensemble comedy, featuring over 30 actors, is scheduled for release on June 26, 2026.
