Sikandar Advance Booking Day 1: Salman Khan Film Trails Behind Tiger 3 by 88%, Needs Big Weekend Push

With just four days to go, Sikandar collects ₹2.70 crore in Day 1 advance booking—far behind Tiger 3’s ₹23 crore. Can Salman Khan’s Eid release catch up?

March 27, 2025: Salman Khan’s much-awaited Eid release, Sikandar, is inching closer to its theatrical debut on March 30. While early reactions to the trailer have been positive, the advance booking figures suggest the action drama still has a long way to go before matching expectations.

As of 12 PM on March 26, Sikandar has clocked ₹2.70 crore gross in Day 1 advance bookings across India (excluding blocked seats), with over 90,000 tickets sold.

Among key contributors:

  • Maharashtra: ₹60 lakh gross
  • Delhi-NCR: ₹58 lakh gross
  • Mumbai: ₹43 lakh gross

With over 7,300 shows already locked in, the total show count is expected to exceed 15,000—but for now, the pace remains modest considering the festive buzz.

Comparison with Tiger 3

Salman Khan’s last outing, Tiger 3, created history with a whopping ₹23 crore in Day 1 advance bookings. Compared to that, Sikandar lags behind by a staggering 88.26% in pre-sales.

Of course, Tiger 3 had the advantage of being a part of YRF’s Spy Universe and riding on the brand value of the successful franchise. In contrast, Sikandar is a standalone film and must build its momentum from the ground up.

Can Sikandar Deliver a ₹50 Cr Opening?

With four more days to go, the film still has time to accelerate. Industry insiders are pegging Sikandar’s opening day at ₹50 crore net, especially since it releases on a Sunday during Eid weekend. But to achieve that, advance booking needs to pick up significantly, especially across Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

The current numbers are decent—but far from the thunderous start Salman Khan fans are hoping for.

Will the Eid magic boost Sikandar in the coming days? Stay tuned.
