Sikandar Box Office Day 12: Salman Khan Film Crashes Below ₹1 Crore, Hit Hard by Jaat
Mumbai, April 11 – Sikandar, the much-hyped Eid release starring Salman Khan, has officially entered troubled waters. On its 12th day, the film earned a mere ₹0.75 crore, marking its lowest single-day collection since release, as per early estimates from Sacnilk.

The film, directed by AR Murugadoss, had opened with ₹26 crore on Day 1 but has struggled to maintain momentum. Despite crossing ₹200 crore globally within its first nine days, Sikandar is now facing a steep domestic decline — worsened by the arrival of Sunny Deol’s Jaat.

After a solid first-week total of ₹90.25 crore, Sikandar‘s collections have stagnated. The action drama currently stands at ₹107.71 crore in India. Criticism surrounding the film’s weak second half and predictable plotline seems to have impacted word-of-mouth.

What’s more, Sikandar has lost its box office edge to competition from multiple directions:
Salman Khan plays Sanjay Rajkot, with Rashmika Mandanna portraying his wife Saisri. The cast also includes Sathyaraj, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar.
Ahead of release, director Murugadoss spoke to PTI about compromises required while working with big stars:
“You can’t be 100% true to the script. You have to cater to fans and safeguard their stardom.”
With Jaat picking up buzz and Sikandar showing signs of fatigue, industry watchers believe a full recovery looks unlikely. The upcoming weekend will be crucial, but the film’s current trajectory suggests it may struggle to sustain.
