Sikandar Box Office Day 3: Salman Khan’s Eid Blockbuster Earns ₹74.5 Cr But Slows Down After Festive High

After a roaring Eid weekend, Sikandar sees a dip in collections on Day 3. Salman Khan’s action-packed royal drama now faces stiff competition at the box office.

April 2, 2025: Salman Khan’s much-anticipated Eid release Sikandar hit theatres on March 30 and got off to a flying start, banking heavily on the festive buzz and fan frenzy. Co-starring Rashmika Mandanna and directed by AR Murugadoss, the film raked in solid numbers over the weekend but saw a noticeable dip as the holiday glow faded.

According to early estimates:

  • Day 1 (Saturday): ₹26 crore
  • Day 2 (Sunday): ₹29 crore
  • Day 3 (Monday): ₹19.20 crore

This brings the film’s India total to ₹74.5 crore, while its worldwide gross stands close to ₹95 crore.

Despite the strong numbers, Sikandar hasn’t broken the opening records of Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava or Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan, both of which remain 2025’s biggest openers so far.

🎬 Audience Verdict: Mixed Reactions

While many fans enjoyed Sikandar‘s high-octane action and political intrigue, others criticized it for offering a formulaic story. The Monday collection saw a minor bump, but the film couldn’t hold the same momentum on Tuesday.

Competition from John Abraham’s The Diplomat and Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan has also impacted its run, especially in North India and Kerala, respectively.

🏹 Plot Recap

Salman Khan plays Raja Sahab, the last royal of Rajkot, who wins hearts with his charm but deals with enemies using raw violence. His life turns upside down after a feud with a politician’s son (played by Prateik Babbar), sparking a deadly revenge plot.

📉 What Lies Ahead?

For Sikandar to become a certified blockbuster, it must deliver steady mid-week collections and ride on strong word-of-mouth buzz. The coming weekend will be crucial.

With drama, politics, action, and Salman Khan’s star power, the film ticks all the boxes of a commercial entertainer—but sustaining its box office run will be the real test.
