Sikandar Box Office Day 4: Salman Khan’s Eid Release Slips Sharply, Drops 50% To ₹9.75 Crore

Despite a strong start, Sikandar struggles at the box office amid mixed reviews and piracy setback; four-day total at ₹84.25 crore in India.

New Delhi | April 3, 2025
Salman Khan’s much-hyped Eid release Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss, is witnessing a disappointing trend at the box office. The film, which stars Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sathyaraj, saw a sharp 50% dip on Day 4, collecting just ₹9.75 crore on Wednesday.

According to Sacnilk, Sikandar now stands at a domestic net total of ₹84.25 crore, after four days of release. Despite being mounted on a massive scale and positioned as a festive blockbuster, the film’s collections have failed to sustain momentum due to mixed word-of-mouth and online piracy.

While the official production house, Salman Khan Films, claims Sikandar has crossed ₹141.5 crore worldwide, independent trackers peg the global earnings at ₹123.75 crore, with ₹35 crore coming from the overseas markets.

😟 Struggles & Setbacks

The film’s early leak online before release is believed to have significantly impacted footfall. On Day 4, the overall Hindi occupancy was just 12.08%, with most attendance during night shows.

In comparison, Salman’s previous theatrical outing Tiger 3 had clocked ₹21.1 crore on its fourth day.

The lukewarm reception has surprised trade analysts who expected Sikandar to dominate the festive box office and easily cross ₹100 crore within the opening weekend.

🎙️ Salman Speaks Out

In a recent interaction with Bollywood Bubble, Salman addressed the lack of buzz around the film from industry peers.

“Unko aisa lagta hoga ki zaroorat nahin padti mujhe… But, sabko zaroorat padti hai,” he said, hinting at the need for collective support even for big stars.

🎥 About the Film

Directed by: AR Murugadoss
Starring: Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj
Genre: Action-thriller
Released: March 30, 2025 (Eid weekend)

📉 Outlook

With stiff competition from Malayalam blockbuster L2 Empuraan and lukewarm audience reaction, Sikandar now faces an uphill battle to cross the ₹150 crore mark domestically. Unless there is a weekend turnaround, it could go down as one of Salman Khan’s weaker Eid performers in recent years.
