The film crashes in weekday numbers as theatres replace it with more successful titles
April 4, 2025 | Salman Khan’s much-hyped Eid release Sikandar is witnessing a steep fall at the box office as the initial festive buzz fades. On Day 5 (Thursday), the film earned only ₹5.75 crore, bringing its total India collection to around ₹90 crore in its first week.

The daily business has nosedived—after collecting ₹26 crore on Day 1, the film earned ₹29 crore on Monday, followed by ₹19.5 crore, ₹9.75 crore, and now just ₹5.75 crore. That’s a 41.03% drop from Wednesday and a staggering 78% fall since Monday.
Occupancy & Show Replacement
According to Sacnilk, Sikandar had a mere 8.24% occupancy on Thursday. Morning shows were particularly dismal at 4.74%, while night shows peaked at 10.68%.
Distributors and theatre owners in Mumbai have reportedly replaced Sikandar with higher-performing films like Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan, John Abraham’s The Diplomat, and local Gujarati hits due to low footfall.
Fan Reactions: Frustration Turns to Appeals
Fans, disappointed by yet another underwhelming performance from the superstar, took to social media with heartfelt messages—some expressing frustration, others offering support but asking Salman to reassess his film choices.
“Please take a break, go on vacation, rest and come back with a film your audience deserves. We still believe in you,” one fan posted on X.
Another wrote, “This hurt more than Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan… I’m done expecting anything.”
With underperformers like Race 3, Tubelight, and KBKJ already in his recent record, fans are calling for a reinvention or a long-needed pause in Salman Khan’s filmography.
