Sikandar Craze: Salman Khan Fans Burst Crackers Inside Theatre Again, Video Goes Viral
April 2, 2025: Salman Khan’s latest action-drama Sikandar has lit up the box office — and quite literally, cinema halls too. A video from Malegaon has gone viral showing Salman Khan fans bursting crackers inside a theatre during a screening of the film, dancing and cheering wildly in celebration.
The film, which released on March 30, has been receiving an overwhelming response from fans, even though critics have shared mixed reviews. This is not the first time Bhai’s diehard followers have disrupted movie screenings with firecrackers — similar scenes were witnessed during the releases of Antim and Tiger 3.
While the festive vibe is unmistakable, the act has raised serious safety concerns. Salman Khan himself had earlier issued a public appeal back in 2021, urging fans not to indulge in such acts inside cinema halls.
“Please do not take fire crackers inside the auditorium as it could prove to be a huge fire hazard… Enjoy the film by all means, but please avoid this,” Salman had posted on social media.
Despite this, fans continue to flout the star’s request, putting fellow moviegoers at risk.
Directed by AR Murugadoss, Sikandar marks Salman Khan’s first on-screen pairing with Rashmika Mandanna. The film also stars Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, Kajal Aggarwal, and introduces Anjini Dhawan.
After collecting ₹26 crore on Day 1 and ₹29 crore on Day 2, the film earned another ₹19 crore on Day 3 — bringing its domestic total to ₹74.5 crore. Its worldwide gross is nearing the ₹100 crore milestone.
According to News18 Showsha, the movie aims to explore grief and emotional resilience, but the review cautioned that mass appeal alone can’t carry a film lacking novelty.
