Sikandar Day 2 Morning Occupancy Crashes: Salman Khan Film Trails Behind South Hits & Flops Like Loveyapa

Despite an Eid release and wide launch, Sikandar drops sharply in morning occupancy on Day 2 — performing worse than even Loveyapa and Badass Ravi Kumar.

March 31, 2025: Salman Khan’s Eid 2025 release Sikandar has hit a rough patch at the box office. On Day 2, the film’s morning occupancy has seen a dramatic fall — raising concerns over its theatrical run.

Despite a fair opening on Day 1, Sikandar failed to hold momentum as negative word-of-mouth and poor reviews began to show their impact. According to Sacnilk, the film registered just 8.38% occupancy in morning shows on Monday — a sharp 39% drop from its Day 1 morning numbers (13.76%).

Even more shocking is that Sikandar is now trailing behind not just other big Bollywood titles, but also several underwhelming releases from earlier this year.

Sikandar vs Other Bollywood Films of 2025 (Day 2 Morning Occupancy)

  • Chhaava (Vicky Kaushal): 33%
  • Sky Force: 23.52%
  • Loveyapa: 10.09%
  • Badass Ravi Kumar: 9.38%
  • Sikandar: 8.38%
  • The Diplomat: 7.08%
  • Deva: 5.84%

Yes, Sikandar has recorded lower occupancy than Loveyapa — a film that barely made noise — and even the widely mocked Badass Ravi Kumar.

Sikandar vs South Releases: A Brutal Contrast

The contrast becomes starker when you look at how South Indian films are performing at the same time:

  • L2: Empuraan (Day 5): 56.84%
  • Mad Square: 27.26%
  • Veera Dheera Sooran Day: 19.36%
  • Robinhood: 10.62%

Even on its fifth day, L2: Empuraan is miles ahead of Sikandar, reinforcing the dominance of South films in terms of audience pull and staying power.

Outlook for Sikandar: Not Looking Good

With tomorrow being a regular working day, even evening and night shows may not bring much relief for Sikandar. While spot bookings could offer a slight lift, the overall trend suggests a disappointing trajectory for this big-budget release.

Released with sky-high expectations and an Eid advantage, Sikandar is now battling poor reviews, weak word-of-mouth, and competition from stronger content across languages.
