Sikandar Day 9 Box Office: Salman Khan’s Eid Release Struggles, Earns ₹1.75 Crore on Second Monday
Mumbai, April 8 — Sikandar, starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, has hit a rough patch at the box office. On its second Monday (Day 9), the film collected only ₹1.75 crore, bringing its total domestic collection to ₹104.25 crore. Despite a strong Eid opening, the film is now struggling to sustain momentum.

The action drama opened at ₹26 crore on Day 1 and peaked on Eid with ₹29 crore, but faced a sharp decline soon after, with collections dropping to ₹19.5 crore on April 1. By Friday (April 4), earnings slumped further to ₹3.5 crore, a 41.67% drop compared to earlier figures.

Over its second weekend, Sikandar witnessed a mild uptick, but nowhere near enough to recover its ₹200 crore budget. The film’s performance has reignited debate over the current state of Bollywood, as even star-led ventures fail to make the impact expected from them.
For comparison, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 earned ₹27 crore (Hindi) on its Day 9, despite facing controversy following the actor’s arrest in December 2024 related to a stampede incident at its premiere. Pushpa 2 has consistently outperformed Sikandar since Day 1.
Sikandar is notable for bringing Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna together on screen for the first time. It also marked Khan’s maiden collaboration with director AR Murugadoss, known for the 2008 blockbuster Ghajini. The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
As the film enters its second week, industry watchers are skeptical about its chances of revival.
