Sikandar X Reviews: Salman Khan-Rashmika Pairing Criticized, Netizens Call Film “Cringe” & “Outdated”, Say “Free Mein Bhi Mat Dekna”

Despite high expectations from Salman Khan’s Eid release, Sikandar X is receiving harsh early reviews from viewers who are unimpressed with the film’s romance, VFX, and storyline.

March 30, 2025: Salman Khan’s big Eid release Sikandar X may have arrived with sky-high expectations, but early reviews on social media paint a far from festive picture.

Directed by AR Murugadoss, the action-drama stars Salman Khan alongside Rashmika Mandanna, who is 31 years his junior. While the pairing aimed to offer mass appeal, it seems to have had the opposite effect. The film, which hit theatres on March 30, is being slammed online for its “cringe-worthy romance,” outdated storytelling, and weak visual effects.

One user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, “People are so disappointed. The public is bored of these Bhojpuri-style action films. Disaster review from everyone.”

Another review called out the film’s lack of effort in post-production:

“Sounds like a mix of Sunny Deol and Amitabh’s voice. They didn’t even dub properly. That awful face-swap VFX shows how little Murugadoss cared about this film. Why should we?”

Harsh words also targeted Salman’s performance. A third user tweeted,
“Such a waste of money! Salman doesn’t even try to act in this film.”

❌ “Cringe,” “Dull,” and “Disaster” – Strong Words From Cinegoers

Another viewer summed up the general sentiment:
“An absolute DISASTER! Cringe-worthy, dull, and outdated story and direction. Poor VFX and CGI make it worse. Even Salman Khan’s charisma can’t save this mess.”

🎞️ Will Sikandar Be A Box Office Misfire?

Sikandar marks AR Murugadoss’ return to Bollywood after 17 years, since his massive hit Ghajini (2008). But while Ghajini made history as the first Hindi film to cross ₹100 crore, Sikandar X may not follow the same path. With advance bookings trailing behind and social media reactions leaning negative, the film’s box office fate now hinges on word of mouth and holiday footfall.
