November 4, 2024: Veteran talk show host Simi Garewal has come forward to defend Abhishek Bachchan amidst rumours surrounding his marriage to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and his alleged link-up with actress Nimrat Kaur. In a recent Instagram post, Simi shared a nostalgic clip from her talk show Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, where Abhishek had opened up about his views on relationships and fidelity.

In the clip, Abhishek candidly discussed his stance on commitment and loyalty, expressing strong feelings against infidelity. “Call me old-fashioned, but if you commit to somebody, then abide by that commitment. Otherwise, don’t make it,” he stated. He added, “As a man, if you commit to a woman, even if you get caught up with her boyfriend, you should be loyal to her. Men are often accused of being disloyal; I don’t agree with it, and it disgusts me.”

Alongside the video, Simi praised Abhishek’s character, writing, “Rendezvous Gems. I think everyone who knows Abhishek personally will agree he is among the nicest men in Bollywood. Good values and innate decency.” The post received support from others in the industry, with filmmaker Farah Khan commenting, “I fully agree he’s just the nicest guy.”

The rumors linking Abhishek with Nimrat Kaur reportedly began after a speculative blind item on Reddit that went viral despite lacking evidence. Simi’s post seemed to address these rumors indirectly, portraying Abhishek in a positive light. However, Simi eventually deleted the post, possibly due to the intense online scrutiny it attracted.
Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan subtly dismissed divorce rumors recently by sharing a heartfelt birthday post for Amitabh Bachchan, featuring a picture of him with their daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. This post was seen as a statement of unity from the family amidst the swirling speculations.
