Rumours of a potential separation between Abhishek and Aishwarya have been circulating for several months, with speculation intensifying when neither Abhishek nor the Bachchan family extended public birthday wishes to Aishwarya earlier this month. On Tuesday, Simi took to Instagram to express her support for Abhishek, sharing a clip from her iconic talk show, Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, where she praised him as one of the “nicest men” in Bollywood. “I think everyone who knows Abhishek personally will agree he is among the nicest men in Bollywood. Good values and innate decency,” she captioned the post.

He is just the nicest guy.” However, the post didn’t sit well with many social media users, particularly fans of Aishwarya Rai. Critics took issue with the timing of Simi’s post, accusing her of showing bias by supporting Abhishek while remaining silent about Aishwarya’s side of the story. Comments ranged from “Very controversial time to put out this… Not fair yaa” to accusations of “protecting” Abhishek amidst the ongoing rumors.

Simi eventually deleted the post after the backlash. However, screenshots of the now-deleted post have been shared across social media, keeping the conversation alive. Neither Abhishek nor Aishwarya have publicly addressed the divorce rumours, leaving fans to speculate on the true state of their 17-year marriage.
