‘Singham Again’ Box Office Day 20: Crosses ₹235, Trails Behind ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’

November 21, 2024: Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again continues its theatrical run, crossing ₹235.15 crore at the domestic box office in 20 days. The Rohit Shetty-directed Diwali release has, however, been outperformed by Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which has surged ahead in the domestic box office race.

Starring an ensemble cast of Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor, Singham Again opened strongly on November 1, grossing ₹173 crore in its first week. However, its momentum slowed during the second week with a collection of ₹47.5 crore and is now earning modest numbers. On its third Wednesday, the film brought in ₹1.65 crore, bringing its total domestic earnings to ₹235.15 crore.

‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ Maintains Lead

Despite Singham Again’s robust initial performance, the Kartik Aaryan-Vidya Balan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has steadily gained an upper hand, thanks to strong word of mouth and audience appeal. The supernatural comedy took a surprising lead during its second week and has continued to widen the gap. As of now, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has amassed ₹237 crore in domestic earnings, outperforming Singham Again.

This unexpected turnaround highlights the staying power of Bazmee’s horror-comedy, which has managed to keep audiences engaged even as competition intensifies.

Emerging Competition from ‘The Sabarmati Report’

Both Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 are now facing competition from the sleeper hit The Sabarmati Report. The drama has been gaining traction due to positive word of mouth and is consistently earning around ₹1 crore per day since its release. While its numbers may not rival the two blockbuster films yet, its growing popularity is a noteworthy development in the box office landscape.

Worldwide Box Office Update

On a global scale, Singham Again has crossed the ₹300 crore mark, consolidating its status as a major box office success. However, with domestic collections slowing down and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 taking the lead, it remains to be seen if the Rohit Shetty action drama can regain its initial momentum in the coming weeks.
