Singham Again Crosses ₹200 Crore, But Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Leads in Second Weekend Box Office Race

November 11, 2024: After ten days in theaters, Singham Again, starring Ajay Devgn and directed by Rohit Shetty, has crossed the ₹200 crore mark. Despite strong performances over its second weekend, the movie was edged out by Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which continues to perform slightly better in daily collections.

During the weekdays, Singham Again saw a dip in numbers but rebounded over the weekend. On its second Friday, the film earned ₹8 crore, followed by a significant 53.13% growth on Saturday, bringing in ₹12.25 crore. By Sunday, the film collected an additional ₹13.25 crore, boosting its total collection to ₹206.5 crore over ten days, as reported by Sacnilk.

In comparison, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, led by Kartik Aaryan, outpaced Singham Again over the weekend. The horror-comedy raked in ₹15.5 crore on Saturday and ₹16.5 crore on Sunday, reaching a cumulative total of ₹199.5 crore. Although Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 trails slightly behind in overall earnings, its weekend collections exceeded those of Singham Again, giving it an edge in the box office race.

According to Box Office India, Singham Again has shown strong performance, especially in the Mumbai circuit, but has not achieved similar success nationwide. Trade experts anticipated greater box office returns, considering the film’s higher budget and the buzz surrounding its release. While the numbers are solid, they fall short of expectations, preventing the film from being declared a “super hit” in comparison to its competition.

With both films drawing in large audiences, it remains to be seen which will emerge as the ultimate Diwali blockbuster. For now, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has gained momentum, adding a touch of suspense to this box office rivalry.
