Singham Again” Sets Global Box Office on Fire with ₹65 Crore Opening Day; Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe Achieves New Heights

November 3, 2024: Rohit Shetty’s latest instalment in his celebrated Cop Universe, Singham Again, has made an explosive debut at the worldwide box office, raking in an impressive ₹65 crore on its first day. This makes it the biggest opening for a Shetty-Ajay Devgn collaboration, surpassing all previous releases in the franchise. Led by a stellar cast that includes Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, and Deepika Padukone, the film was tailor-made for Diwali festivities and drew crowds in huge numbers.

According to figures released by the makers, Singham Again dominated the Diwali opening day with strong advance bookings and a phenomenal word-of-mouth response. This success secures its position as the second-highest opener of the year, following the success of Stree 2. Notably, it outperformed Sooryavanshi, the last film in Shetty’s cop universe, which had earned ₹39.50 crore on its opening day.

Singham Again saw unparalleled international reach, with screenings across 2,000 screens worldwide, including a record-breaking 197 screens in Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji, and over 760 screens across North America. In the UK and Ireland, the film opened on 224 screens, while in Canada, it premiered in top chains, with Cineplex accounting for 80% of the country’s box office collection.
