Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office Day 11: Aamir Khan’s Film Slows Down but Eyes This Global Mark

After a strong first week, RS Prasanna’s sports dramedy faces its sharpest single-day dip but remains on track to cross Rs 200 crore worldwide amid rising competition.

July-1, 2025: Mumbai, July 1, 2025:
Aamir Khan’s much-talked-about comeback film Sitaare Zameen Par is nearing a major global milestone. The RS Prasanna-directed sports comedy-drama may be losing steam domestically but is still expected to cross the ₹200 crore worldwide mark this week.

On Day 11 (Monday), the film recorded its lowest single-day collection yet — earning just ₹3.75 crore, a steep fall from Sunday’s ₹14.5 crore. Previously, the film’s lowest earning day was ₹6.5 crore on its first Thursday.

With this, the total domestic earnings of the film now stand at ₹126.4 crore, according to estimates from Sacnilk. While impressive, Sitaare Zameen Par still lags behind Salman Khan’s Sikandar (₹129.95 crore) and Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force (₹134.93 crore), both released earlier this year.

Adding to the challenge, Aamir’s film is now contending with Maa, a mythological horror drama starring Kajol, directed by Vishal Furia and co-produced by Ajay Devgn. Maa, from the world of last year’s hit Shaitaan, has collected ₹19.9 crore despite its own Monday drop.

Starting July 4, the Hindi box office will see another reshuffle with the release of Anurag Basu’s Metro…In Dino, the spiritual sequel to his acclaimed 2007 ensemble drama Life…In a Metro. Backed by T-Series, the romantic anthology boasts a powerhouse cast including:

  • Sara Ali Khan
  • Aditya Roy Kapur
  • Ali Fazal
  • Fatima Sana Shaikh
  • Neena Gupta
  • Anupam Kher
  • Konkona Sen Sharma
  • Pankaj Tripathi

With fresh competition on the horizon, Sitaare Zameen Par is now in a race against time to maximize its collections before the weekend reshuffle. International markets and continued family audience support may help push the film over the ₹200 crore mark globally — a key benchmark for its commercial success.
