Sitaare Zameen Par Crosses ₹82 Crore On Day 6, Beats Vikram Vedha’s Lifetime Collection
June 25, 2025: Aamir Khan’s much-awaited comeback film Sitaare Zameen Par continues its run at the box office with a decent performance in its opening week. Directed by RS Prasanna, the sports dramedy has now officially crossed the ₹80 crore mark within six days of release.
As per the latest box office data from Sacnilk, the film earned ₹7.25 crore on Day 6 (Wednesday), bringing its total collection to ₹82.4 crore. While the film opened with a solid ₹10.7 crore on Friday and gained momentum over the weekend with ₹20.2 crore on Saturday and ₹27.25 crore on Sunday, weekday collections have shown a dip, as is often the trend with non-holiday releases.
Despite the drop in daily earnings, Sitaare Zameen Par has already surpassed the lifetime Indian box office total of Vikram Vedha (₹78.9 crore), the 2022 action thriller starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan.
A spiritual sequel to the 2007 emotional drama Taare Zameen Par, this film sees Aamir Khan return to a heartfelt narrative—this time as a basketball coach. The story follows his character after a DUI conviction, leading him to coach a group of neurodivergent individuals as part of a court-mandated program. The film blends emotion, humor, and sports, and has received praise for its sensitive storytelling and performances.
As the weekend approaches, all eyes are on whether Sitaare Zameen Par can maintain its pace and join the ₹100 crore club in its second week.
