As the nation prepares to celebrate Republic Day this weekend, Sky Force, starring Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya, is set to hit theatres on January 24, 2025. The patriotic combat drama, inspired by India’s first airstrike against the Sargodha Pakistani Airbase, hopes to strike a chord with audiences during this patriotic season.

Sky Force Ticket Prices Across Cities

The producers of Sky Force have adopted a thoughtful pricing system to address the ongoing debate about high movie ticket prices. While premium theatres in metro cities like Delhi and Mumbai offer higher-priced tickets, cities like Kolkata and Bengaluru are offering more affordable rates.

  • Mumbai: The highest ticket price is ₹1820 for a show at Maison INOX, Bandra-Kurla Complex, at 11:55 PM. Other shows at this venue range between ₹1620 and ₹1800. Tickets in standard theatres are priced between ₹200 and ₹1000.
  • Delhi: At INOX Insignia, Epicuria, Nehru Place, the most expensive ticket is ₹1600. Premium seating costs range from ₹1200 to ₹1600.
  • Kolkata and Bengaluru: Prices are relatively lower, with the highest ticket rate in Kolkata at ₹1000 and Bengaluru under ₹1000.

Sky Force has already gained impressive traction in advance bookings:

  • Within three hours of ticket sales opening, the film sold over 18,375 tickets in Hindi, grossing ₹40 lakh on the first day of advance sales.
  • The Hindi 2D version has sold 62,938 tickets, with an average ticket price (ATP) of ₹226, earning ₹1.47 crore.
  • The IMAX 2D format has sold 1,792 tickets, with an ATP of ₹408, generating ₹6.37 lakh.
  • Across all formats, 64,730 tickets have been sold for 9,073 shows, collecting a total advance revenue of ₹1.54 crore.

Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur, and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Amar Kaushik, Sky Force is based on the courageous story of the Indian Air Force during the 1965 Indo-Pak War. The film features Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur in pivotal roles alongside Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya.

Sky Force recently hosted a special screening for India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Air Force officers. Sharing his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter), Singh praised the film, saying: “The film narrates the story of the Indian Air Force’s bravery, courage, and sacrifice during the 1965 War. I laud the makers of the film for their efforts.”

With such a promising start, Sky Force is expected to captivate audiences while paying tribute to India’s unsung heroes.
