“Sky Force” Crosses ₹80 Crore at Domestic Box Office in Six Days

Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya’s action-packed war drama faces slowdown and competition from Shahid Kapoor’s Deva.

January 30, 2025: Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya’s Sky Force has achieved an impressive milestone, crossing ₹80 crore at the domestic box office within six days of its release. While the film had a strong opening weekend, weekday collections have slowed, casting doubts on its ability to reach ₹100 crore in its first week.

Box Office Performance:

Sky Force debuted with a promising ₹12.15 crore on Day 1, followed by a significant boost over the weekend. Collections surged to ₹22 crore on Saturday and peaked at ₹28 crore on Sunday, resulting in a robust three-day total of ₹62.25 crore.

However, weekday collections have averaged between ₹5–7 crore per day, bringing the film’s six-day domestic total to approximately ₹80.75 crore. Despite its strong initial performance, Sky Force is unlikely to hit the ₹100 crore mark domestically within its first week.

Competition Looms:

Sky Force faces fresh competition from Shahid Kapoor’s action-packed film Deva, releasing on January 31. With Deva expected to make a strong opening, Sky Force may experience a dip in footfalls, potentially affecting its long-term box office run.

Worldwide Success:

According to the film’s production team, Sky Force has likely surpassed the ₹100 crore milestone in gross worldwide collections, reflecting its strong overseas performance.

About the Film:

Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur, Sky Force is set against the backdrop of the 1965 India-Pakistan War. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya, Nimrat Kaur, and Sara Ali Khan in pivotal roles.

As the first major Bollywood release of 2025, Sky Force has garnered attention for its gripping storyline and stellar performances. Whether it can sustain its momentum amid stiff competition remains to be seen.
