Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal Set to Tie the Knot In November
The celebrated sports star and the Bollywood music director will kick off their wedding festivities on November 20th in Sangli, Maharashtra, marking the union of two of India’s most loved industries.
October 30, 2025: In a wedding poised to capture national attention, Indian cricket vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and music composer-director Palash Muchhal are scheduled to get married this November. The celebrations for the highly anticipated wedding will begin on November 20th in Sangli, Maharashtra, the hometown of the cricketer.
The couple, who reportedly began dating in 2019, officially confirmed their long-term relationship in July 2024 with a touching social media post marking their fifth anniversary.
The upcoming nuptials signify a beautiful convergence of the worlds of sports and entertainment. Palash Muchhal, who is from Indore, playfully confirmed the imminent wedding when he recently remarked that Smriti would soon be the “daughter-in-law of Indore.” While the groom-to-be has remained tight-lipped on the grand details, excitement among fans of both fields is palpable.
The celebrations are expected to be a warm-hearted, yet spectacular, affair in Sangli, where Smriti was raised. Though she was born in Mumbai, her family moved to the Madhavnagar suburb of Sangli when she was two, and it is here that the Muchhal and Mandhana families are making arrangements for the wedding.
Adding to the pre-wedding cheer, renowned playback singer Palak Muchhal, Palash’s sister, recently spoke glowingly about her bond with the star cricketer.
“My bond with Smriti Mandhana is, I think, one of the relationships in my life that I truly cherish,” Palak shared in a recent interview. She praised Smriti as a “wonderful person” and her “best friend.”
“I feel truly proud of her—as a person, as a woman, and as an artist. She’s achieved so much in such a short time. Her talent isn’t a fluke, it’s strong and real… She’s very good in her field, family-oriented, and she values a lot.”

Palak also revealed that Smriti is an avid music lover, with her favorite song being Palak’s famous track, ‘Kaun Tujhe’.
Born in 1995 in Indore, Palash Muchhal is a classically trained singer who made a mark as one of Bollywood’s youngest music composers. He debuted with the 2014 film Dishkiyaoon and has since composed music for films like Bhoomi and Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive, in addition to several popular independent tracks. Despite his rising popularity, Palash is known for his humble nature, letting his work speak for itself. He and his sister, Palak, are also known for their philanthropic work, raising funds through concerts for children with heart ailments.
As November approaches, fans across India eagerly await the first glimpses of this star-studded wedding in Sangli.
