Sonakshi Sinha Urges Voters in Asansol to Exercise Their Franchise

Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha has taken to social media to rally support for her father, Shatrughan Sinha, who is contesting for the Asansol MP seat for the second time. In an Instagram post, Sonakshi called upon the people of Asansol to cast their votes for progress, unity, and prosperity. She described her father as a leader with integrity, vision, and a commitment to positive change.

Shatrughan Sinha, a veteran actor turned politician, is seeking re-election from the Asansol constituency, having previously served as the Member of Parliament from Patna Sahib. He has held various ministerial positions in the government and is known for his contribution to both cinema and politics.

Sonakshi’s plea comes amidst her own success in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,” where she has received praise for her performance. The series, set against the backdrop of the Indian freedom struggle, explores themes of love, power, revenge, and freedom through the stories of courtesans and their patrons.

“Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar” is currently streaming on Netflix and features an ensemble cast including Fardeen Khan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Manisha Koirala, and others.
